BittyBox is built on an absolute zero-knowledge privacy foundation. When you compile an application capsule, the data is embedded solely into the URL hash fragment. Our servers never log, store, or view the code inside your links.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
Due to the mathematical and cryptographic structure of URL hash fragments (#...):
- No Capsule Storage: We do not store, index, or inspect the HTML, JavaScript, CSS, or assets inside generated capsules.
- No Key Interception: Client-side encryption keys and passwords never leave your browser runtime.
- No Third-Party Ad Trackers: We do not embed ad network trackers, social analytics pixels, or sell user telemetry.
2. Information We Collect for Accounts & Service Delivery
When you opt into optional developer or user services (such as Magic Link authentication or notification delivery):
- Email Address: Used solely to send cryptographic magic login links and check-in notification alerts.
- Heartbeat Metadata: Timestamps of check-in pings required to maintain switch status and countdown schedules.
- Diagnostic Logs: Transient server operational logs containing IP addresses and request durations, automatically rotated and purged.
3. Local Storage & Client Data Control
BittyBox utilizes your browser's local storage (localStorage / sessionStorage) exclusively to store your workspace theme, draft sessions, walkthrough status, and local box history for your convenience. You can purge this data at any time through your browser settings.
4. Data Sharing & Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or monetize your personal information. Third-party infrastructure providers (such as transactional email providers for heartbeat alerts) process minimal operational data strictly as necessary to execute requested notifications.
5. Security Practices
All network communications use modern TLS/HTTPS encryption in transit. Cryptographic primitives and URL-native hashes ensure that secret payloads remain protected even against network intermediaries.
