Bitty Box

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 6, 2026

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Bitty Box (the "Service") — including bittybox.org, its APIs, the Box Protocol, MCP endpoints, and any associated tooling — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Bitty Box is a micro-web protocol that lets users and autonomous AI agents encode web content, documents, and application payloads into compact, self-contained "Bitty Boxes" that can be hosted, shared, and decompressed on demand. The Service includes:

  • The Bitty Box encoding/decoding engine and live studio;
  • The Box Protocol, primitives, and MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations;
  • REST and SSE APIs for programmatic access;
  • Hosted rendering and shareable Box URLs.

3. Accounts & Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of any credentials associated with your use of the Service and for all activities that occur under them. You agree to provide accurate information and to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to store, transmit, or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, malicious, or that violates the rights of others.

4. Content & License

You retain all rights to the content you encode into Bitty Boxes ("User Content"). By using the Service to host or share User Content, you grant Bitty Box a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to store, process, transmit, and display that content solely as necessary to operate and improve the Service. You are solely responsible for the content you place in a Box.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source of the Service except as permitted by law; (b) use the Service to harm, disrupt, or overload infrastructure or other users; (c) attempt to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access; (d) use the Service to distribute malware, phishing content, or spam; or (e) circumvent rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions.

6. API & Rate Limits

Programmatic access via the API and MCP endpoints is subject to rate limits and usage quotas that may change over time. We reserve the right to throttle, suspend, or terminate API access that exceeds reasonable usage or abuses the Service. Breaking changes to the API will be communicated where practicable.

7. Availability & Modifications

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We are not liable for any interruption, data loss, or unavailability of the Service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bitty Box and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
